Selling During the Summer Slump

Selling During the Summer Slump

6/1/2026

If you’re experiencing a summer slump, consider these ideas for engaging with clients and generating sales activity.

Protection is always needed, regardless of the season. Are your clients making changes, such as buying a new home, taking out a bigger mortgage, or are kids heading off to college? Aging parents needing care, career moves, and income changes could also require policy updates.

Summer means outdoor gatherings. Attend summer events in logo-branded gear. Consider event sponsorships with signage opportunities. Pass out logo-branded items at picnics and parades.
Example: Attend National Night Out events on August 4, 2026 in neighborhoods and at local fire stations and community centers.

Remind clients of the busy fall months ahead that include sports, school fundraisers and seasonal chores. Emphasize that a meeting during the summer will wrap up any business so it won’t intrude on their active fall schedules or the year-end holiday season.

Talk to your clients about Trusted Fraternal Life’s financial strength: $3 billion in assets; an A rating from Kroll Bond Rating Agency; and more than 200,000 members.
