Asking Questions

4/1/2024

Spring is near and it’s always a good time to circle back with your clients to review their life insurance coverage and determine if any changes to their circumstances require adjusting their coverage.

Here are some questions to get the conversation started with your client:

  • When was the last time you looked at your life insurance policy?
  • Have circumstances changed in your life, marriage, divorce, birth of a child, home purchase, home mortgage paid off, etc.
  • Is the beneficiary correct and contact information current? Is the secondary or contingent beneficiary correct and contact information current?
  • How is your policy performing? Is the cash value where you were expecting?
  • Are you aware of the features and benefits of your policy?

Taking the time to ask these questions can help to uncover important updates to an existing policy and help to identify gaps in coverage for your clients.
