Protecting Local Businesses

Protecting Local Businesses

9/1/2023

Business owners are often the backbones of their communities. Have you thought of ways that you can support your local business owners?

Here are a couple of ideas:

  • Make sure they have proper business continuation plans.
  • Help them with key employee coverage.

To get the conversation started, you can ask these questions when meeting with a business owner:

  • Have you looked at any business-owned life insurance policies lately?
  • Is there a business continuation plan in place should you pass away unexpectedly? How is it funded?
  • Are there key people in the business you’d like to keep happy or realize they would be very difficult to replace?

Don’t hesitate to ask general questions about their business as well to make a genuine connection with them
